The A-STEP course is an entry level sleep technician program. The A-STEP program is designed to build a solid foundation in sleep medicine. This foundation can then be used to build a successful sleep career on. The course is a total of 80 hours. 14 hours of the program will be presented as an online course. To be clear these modules are separate from the 23 self-study modules that are presented by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

You are required to have a high school diploma or GED to enroll in the A-STEP program. Submission of a high school diploma or GED is required before you can complete the program. Focus A-STEP is not responsible for candidates that complete the program; however, do not meet the requirements for course completion.

The online portion of the course can be taken at the candidate’s convenience. However, the online course must be completed prior to attending the live course. The candidate will have access to print a certificate of completion that they should bring to the live course.

Financial Information

Your spot for the course is only reserved once your payment has been received. Registration will close two weeks prior to the start of the live conference. If you cancel or make changes five weeks prior to the start of the live course you will forfeit $500 of your tuition. If cancel two weeks prior to the start of the live course you will lose the entire tuition amount.
